API/SDK Settings

Application Notification

This is to be used in conjunction with the Account Event Handler. The URL of where you want your messages to be forwarded to should be entered in here together with the correct version depending on what sort of application you are running. If you select the retry option we will resend any information if we don’t receive the correct response from your server so you won’t miss any events. If we get multiple connection failures from you we will send you notification to the address entered into the technical email address before the very last retry, and again if the last retry fails. Notification Versions

Select the version of notification your page is expecting from the following:

  • Version1: Deprecated, this is maintained for existing applications only
  • Version2: Deprecated, this is maintained for existing applications only
  • Version3: SOAP XML notification. Notifies your application via SOAP XML of the following events: Message Received, Message Event, and Message Error. Also notifies of Subscription Events to premium rate accounts
  • FormPostVersion1: Deprecated, this is maintained for existing applications only
  • FormPostVersion2: Notifies your application via HTTP Form Post notification of the following events: Message Received, Message Event, Message Error. Also notifies of Subscription Events to premium rate accounts

 

Retry Notification on Failure

 

When this option is ticked we will wait for an HTTP 200 response from your server when sending events through using the application notification. If we don't receive the correct response for all events sent through we will put the events into a retry queue and send again in the following intervals, 1 hour from the original send, 6 hours, 24 hours and finally 72 hours. We will email the address entered into the technical email notification box at the 24 hour and 72 hour interval. After this point we will not retry.

Allow API Long Messaging

When this option is checked you can send up to 612 characters from your applications using our API.

Technical Email Notification

When this option is checked, all notifications of technical difficulties are forwarded to the specified email address entered in here.
